People are asking me what size chastity device should I buy for full-time wear? I cannot answer that absolutely but I can give you a few hints.
Get what suits your games but for full-time wear you should think about comfort and cleanliness foremost.
For full-time wear it has got to be stainless steel.
This is just a guide based on the findings in our lifestyle. It is not intended to be copied and you must take responsibility for your own decisions and actions. Be consensual and play safe.
Comfort – It is important to get the sizing right.
The base ring is the most critical to get right, too small and it could restrict blood supply to his penis and testicle, too big and it will be too loose. Base rings now come in standard sizes 40mm, 45mm and 50mm. To get the best ring diameter you can buy a plastic CB6000S which comes with a variety of different sizes so you can trial them all to get the best fit. Relatively inexpensive CB6000s can often be picked up new on auction sites and after he has transferred to stainless steel it will still be useful for temporary use when travelling through airport security – don’t use a steel padlock though.
The cage to base ring gap is also fairly critical, too small and the scrotum can get a bit strangled, too large and his balls can pull through and the whole thing will fall off. Cage gap is not usually given on the cheaper “off the shelf” devices but if it is a bit tight you can usually bend the cage away from the base ring if you are very careful.
Cage diameter is pretty much standard at 33mm and choice here doesn't seem to be relevant.
Cage length can be to suit what you want to use the device for. For chastity games where he is going to be allowed cum regardless then a long cage in which he can grow is fine and looks the part. However, for serious chastity, especially long-term, the shorter the better. He will be far more comfortable if there is no space at all for him to “grow”. N.B. cages shorter than his non-erect length help with comfort and will restrict or possibly even prevent him trying to becoming erect after a few weeks.
Cleanliness – If the chastity device is to be worn full-time then he will need to be able to keep himself clean and sweet smelling without removing it. With a tube type device then cleaning inside will not be possible and it will have to be removed at least daily to keep clean. The only device that can be cleaned while wearing is the cage type. Even then regular inspections should take place to ensure proper hygiene is maintained. The occasional removal for cleaning will still be needed and you may need to take precautions if you want to prevent him becoming erect, i.e. use of iced water or numbing cream.
Erections – In the beginning of full-time wear his penis will try to become erect at times. If the cage length is such that there is space to grow then he will find it very uncomfortable or even a painful when he inevitably gets erect. If the cage is shorter than his non-erect length then he cannot get erect and this will encourage him to control his daytime erection attempts until such time he stops them completely. However, erection attempts will probably still be triggered in his sleep and are likely to wake him up during the night. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Providing you do not relent and allow him out of his cage, these involuntary nocturnal erection attempts will stop as his body subconscious becomes accustomed to wearing the device.
Penis shrinkage does happen when wear becomes very frequent and certainly when he is caged full-time. This can happen quite quickly. When the base ring feels loose, then drop down 5mm to the next smaller size. When you see any gap between the end of his penis and the cage end, then get a shorter cage by about 20mm less than his non-erect size. Cage to ring gap is unlikely to change. If penis shrinkage is a goal in itself then a short cage is an absolute must. Penis shrinkage is not normally permanent and after a couple of days being released his penis will start to grow again in size.
Orgasms and Ejaculations - There is no reason why a caged penis cannot orgasm or ejaculate regardless of penis size, even when there is no erection.
Security – If he has a Prince Albert piercing it will allow you to lock the piercing to the end of the cage to remove any chance of him being able to pull out. It is advisable to always restrain him to an immovable point using hand/ankle cuffs or chain before removing his chastity device. Only when the device is secured back on will the restraint be removed. This routine is particularly useful if you are going to allow him a full orgasm out of his cage because after orgasm, he may not be quite so compliant to submit to your control. This is one reason to keep full orgasms to the absolute minimum.
